First, a huge thanks to all who made phone calls and sent e-mails to their legislators!!!! We know your actions helped make a difference, especially for those bills that passed by very narrow margins. We hope you’ll continue to work with AFSCME Green as we take on new issues and campaigns. We also want to thank our wonderful AFSCME lobbyists, Ralph Groener, who led the charge on many of our key bills, and Joe Baessler, who provided us with strategic support, and, last but not least, Steve Hughes, AFSCME organizer extraordinaire, who has helped us set up meetings, strategize, run phone banks, and most importantly, has kept us fed at evening meetings.
