BPA(bisphenol A) is an industrial chemical used to make polycarbonate plastic resins, epoxy resins, and other products. It is a synthetic estrogen linked to breast cancer and other serious health problems. When used in containers, it leaches into the food and liquids in those containers, ending up in our bodies. Oregon lawmakers are supporting a Senate Bill that would help reduce BPA found in many products.
